Opticom’s Board is made up of eminent professionals with vast experience in banking, finance, manufacturing, consulting and management.
Mr. Jacobs Moyo Ajekigbe, OFR
Mr. Ajekigbe is currently the Chairman of Friesland Campina WAMCO Nigeria Plc., and until very recently also the as the Chairman of Keystone Bank Plc.
He served as the Managing Director/CEO of First Bank of Nigeria Plc. from 2002-2008. He has had over three decades of banking experience across different areas including agricultural financing, branch banking, corporate & retail and general management.
A Fellow of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative, Mr. Ajekigbe was previously the Director and Chairman of FBN (Merchant Bankers) Limited and Kakawa Discount House Limited. He was also a Director on the Boards of several other companies; including First Pension Custodian Limited, FBN Bank (UK) Limited, VMobile Nigeria limited (now Airltel) and Transcorp Plc.
Mr. Ajekigbe holds a B.Sc. Agricultural Economics from the university of Ibadan, Certificate in investment Planning & Appraisal from the university of Bradford, UK, Master Business Administration (MBA) for university of Lagos and M.A in Global Affairs from the University of Buckingham, U.K in 2010.He has attended several post-experience programmes and courses in Nigeria and overseas.
He is the Chairman of Gamaniel & Suzan Onosode Foundation (GAMSU) - a private social initiative which is making generous contributions to the development of education in Nigeria.
Mr. Ajekigbe is a well-regarded and highly respected resource personality in Corporate Governance and Ethics.
Mr. Adebayo Adeleke - Managing Director & CEO
Mr. Adeleke is a long-time professional and senior executive in the Nigerian banking industry. He was, until recently, the Executive vice president of First Bank of Nigeria Plc.
He has handled diverse senior roles and responsibilities in his professional career at Nigeria International Bank Limited (Citibank), United Bank for Africa Plc. and First Bank of Nigeria Plc. he has a proven ability and solid track record of accomplishments in Commercial, Corporate & Investment Banking, Investment & Fund Management.
He was Managing Director & CEO of FBN (Merchant Bankers) Limited between 2003 and 2005, when it was consolidated with First Bank Plc. He also served as the pioneer Managing Director & CEO of FBN Capital Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading investment banking firm.
He holds a B.Sc. (Hon.) degree from the University of Ibadan and an MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School, USA. He is an AMP of INSEAD, France and the Harvard Business School, USA.
He has served as Chairman of the Boards of FBN Securities Limited and Digiprints Limited for many years. He was also a Director of many companies and associations including; Kakawa Discount House Limited, First Funds Limited, Heritage Funds and Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria. He presently serves as a Director of La Casera Company Plc and on the advisory Board of Banana Island School.
Mr. Knut Ulvmoen (Director)
He is currently the Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement, Mr. Ulvmoen brings a diverse and award-winning career and international experience in finance and administration spanning over twenty years. He was part of the team that built the Dangote Group into a formidable international conglomerate, with turnover growing from $200 million in 1998 to the present level of over $3 billion.
Mr. Ulvmoen has held several key positions internationally and in the business arena. His project experience in the Nigerian real sector is well known and highly regarded. His activities and projects also cover Europe, United States, West Africa (Togo, Ghana, Liberia, Guinea) UAE and the Philippines. He has been recognized with the following awards: - BusinessDay –“Distinguished Expatriate in Corporate Nigeria” 2005 and Business World –“Outstanding Expatriate in Corporate Nigeria”2008. He was recently the Deputy President Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (served from 2007 to 2008).
Mr. Olumide Ogunmola – Director
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Nigeria (ICAN). He holds a Second Class Upper B.Sc. Degree from the University of Ibadan and an MBA from the U.S International University, California.
Mr. Ogunmola trained and qualified with the firm of Hacker Young, England between 1986 and 1990. Thereafter, he worked as International Tax Manager with Deloitte & Touché, UK from 1990 to 1993 where he had responsibilities for British and European Tax Planning matters. He is a certified SAP FICO Consultant.
He was the founding and until recently the Managing Partner of Alpha-Beta Consulting LLP, a new breed of Management Information Systems & Technology consulting firm.
Mr. Oyedele Togunde – Director
Mr. Oyedele was until recently the CEO/Registrar of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria.
He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries & Administrators UK and Nigeria.
He holds an Upper Credit HND in Business Administration and a M.Sc. degree in Banking & Finance, University of Ibadan.
He is a versatile professional with considerable functional and management experience from his robust career with the Central Bank of Nigeria and his current consultancy training and educational practice.
